Golden island

The island is indeed golden. Without the quotes. It is this part of the island, between Sofiyskaya Naberezhnaya (Sofia embankment) and Bolotnaya Square. But for several years here only abandoned construction.
Hence the 150 metres to the Kremlin. You can look in the windows Grand Kremlin Palace (where at the time of writing these lines is held ceremony of inauguration of the third President of Russia D.A.Medvedev), or see the bell-ringers at the Ivan the Great Bell.
