Fountain “Adam and Eve”
Square near st. metro Novokuznetskaya.

It seems that Eva said: “Adam, take a look at what a wonderful apple shampoo, my hair became more resonant!”
And me wonder why Adam with the “fig” leaf?

Sculptor feel too shy? Then why a fountain have put in territory of the temple destroyed in 30th years?!
Or have looked Peter Rubens and Albrecht Djurera’s pictures and have decided to imitate the second?
From the point of view of a composition, a snake tail, dangling between Adam’s legs - the disgrace (looks as a tail of a devil).
Eva with enema… i have no words.
And about the “fig” leaf the primary source says:
Genesis. Chapter 2.
25. And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.
Genesis. Глава 3. Chapter 3.
6. And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat; and she gave also unto her husband with her, and he did eat.
7. And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig-leaves together, and made themselves aprons.
So… Adam should be naked on this composition.

Very funny. The sculpture certainly does look like a shampoo advertisement.
I would love to explore this sculpture with my camera too - I reckon delving into the faces, shapes and especially that thing at the top (is that the apple tree or what?) Great shapes in it too.
I wish we had weird and wonderful sculpture around our city.
Treehousedweller,
Yes, it’s apple tree, with fruits.
We have many very strange sculptures in Moscow
